Hike 2 Heal for Community Health Workers

Join us for professional development by way of a guided hike facilitated by Crew Wellness LLC, and Curvy X Nature. We will trek a little over two miles, meditate and converse on the trail. Join us as we discuss the benefits of outdoor expsore and the importance of development a self care plan as a Community Health Worker. 

Participants will be required to complete a pre and post test. Following the hike, a light lunch will be given to attendees. CHWs and CHW Instructors will earn  1 DSHS certified CE and 1 non certified DSHS CE for participating. 

Event Theme: Self-Care For the Community Health Care Worker

CE Information: 1-hour DSHS-certified CE for CHWs & CHW Instructors & 1-hour NON certified  Community Health Workers will earn 1 DSHS state approved CEU for participating.    

Be sure to...

1. Dress for the weather and comfort
2. Wear sunscreen and insect repellent
3. Wear durable athletic shoes or boots with good traction
4. Eat a light but filling breakfast (combo of protein and carbs)
5. Bring a water bottle (with at least 24 oz of water inside)
6. Bring your best self!
7. Subscribe to website for updates!
8. Optional: Shades, towel, walking stick or hiking poles, headphones

Arrival & Parking

We will begin promptly at 10:00 am. Arrive early to give yourself time to park. This park is busy on Saturdays and there is limited parking available as it is a small preserve. You can park in the lot but be careful not to park in the neighborhood.  We will meet right inside the main entrance near the large park infomation board.
